It all started with a call from the mayor.
He informed you of some suspicious activity at the edge of town, and said he would trust no other investigator with the job. You could hardly turn him down.
Ten years ago in the village of Stillwater, there was a fairground named The Baldwig Carnival, loved by the villagers. One day, in a tragic accident, the fairground burnt down, killing many of the performers. The charred remains of the fairground rides were never removed, and remained at the outskirts of the town.
One week ago, the rides began to move again. The circus music began to play tinnily once more. The colourful lights flickered over the blackened tracks of the creaking rollercoaster.
Yet, no operators were to be seen.
